Here at Cowhouse Grooving we understand how the flooring of your sheds and yards has a massive impact on the wellbeing of your herd.
Read on to find out why our concrete grooving machines can provide you with the deep, durable grooves you need.
So why are diamond blades so superior to traditional grooving machines?
Our purpose-built concrete grooving machines use diamond blades to smoothly and precisely cut grooves into your slats and concrete.
Unlike other methods, grooves created with diamond blades are cut rather than hammered. This leaves a uniformed groove with a clean-cut, right-angled edge providing unparalleled traction that will not degrade over time. The result? Increased activity and positive behaviour from your herd.
There is very little clean up required after the grooving process, the machines are water-cooled resulting in a dust-free environment. The process does produce some liquefied concrete slurry, however, this can simply be scraped into the slurry system or tank.
The hammering motion of traditional grooving machines can create a cobbled effect on the surface of the concrete. This encourages the foot to rock and is generally uncomfortable for your cows. Our diamond blade cut ensures the surface remains flat and the foot is fully supported.
In short diamond blades create grooves that are deeper, cleaner cut, longer-lasting and more comfortable for your herd.
Cowhouse grooving's high-quality concrete grooving measurements:
18MM Groove - Wide enough to prevent slip immediately
10-13MM Depth- Deep enough to provide longevity
62MM Surface - Flat, not cobbled to support the foot and prevent rocking
80MM Centre to centre- Ensures foot is always in contact with a groove
Cowhouse Grooving machines create deep, clean cut, grooves that will stand the test of time
Cutting slurry can be scraped up as usual. Work can be carried out while cattle remain in the building.
The cutting motion of our concrete grooving machines mean the surface remains flat ,not cobbled. Your cow's foot will not rock meaning she is supported with every step.
See an immediate increase in confidence and positive behaviour from your herd. Significantly reduce the the risk of costly falls on slippery concrete
